add:north X-PLA Black
add:north’s X-PLA is a unique PLA-mix which is produced using 100% biodegradable material and has a high impact resistance, zero brittleness and an unbeatably smooth surface finish.
X-PLA was first developed to meet the high requirements from architects, who often print thin walls but at the same time want a resistive and even surface finish.
X-PLA is just as easy to print with as regular PLA and has a solid and robust feeling which is perfect for technical applications but also prototypes and figures. X-PLA can be printed at low temperatures (from 180 °C) and will get a beautiful matte finish that is not possible using regular PLA.
Printing with X-PLA:
- Recommended printing temperature: 180-220°C nozzle temp and up to 70°C on the bed.
- Use lower extruder temperature for optimal surface finish.
- X-PLA sticks well to most bed surfaces. If you need increased adhesion or to prevent warping when printing large objects, use glue stick, hairspray or Magigoo. A PEI-sheet, smooth or textured is a really good investment to help your prints to stick.
X-PLA, together with all other add:north’s filaments, are made in Sweden and have a diameter tolerance of ±0.025mm.
